The President's Post
    Dear Class of 2001,
Hellos and Goodbyes have always been difficult for me. Saying goodbye is especially hard, and some times are more difficult than others. This is one of those times. Four years ago I was a “freshman” president at Ozarks and starting my new cycle of learning at the same time that our graduating seniors were starting their own. My goodness, where did the four years go? It seems as though Shereé and I just hosted the Freshman Dinners where we began to get to know you. And now it is time to part.

I learned a great deal from you seniors, much more than I was able to teach in return, and I will miss you. You have made this presidency a delight, and I know that I speak for everyone else on campus as well. You will always be an important part of Ozarks and a significant memory in my life. Thank you for your patience, your determination, your compassion, and your belief in Ozarks and our mission. We are a better university now, and in the decades to come, because you were here.

Your generation has the opportunity —and the obligation — to make a difference in the lives of others. Take the responsibility seriously. Continue to make the same difference in your next adventure that you made here. And you will make a difference. After all, Ozarks is your bloodline, and we are connected for life.
