Two C of O Alumni Receive Awards

Roy G. Nixon of Springdale has been reelected national president of The College of the Ozarks Alumni Association.

Other officers elected at the association's recent annual meeting are Rev. William Rail of Rogers, president-elect; Bill Porter of Clarksville, first vice-president; Garner Taylor of Clarksville, second vice-president; Mrs. Joanne Taylor of Clarksville, secretary and Erta Lee Shrigley of Clarksville, executive secretary.

Edward Wilcox of Tulsa is the new chairman of the Alumni Foundation board of trustees. Mrs. Ada Mills of Clarksville is vice chairman; Miss Shrigley, secretary and William H. Mooney of Clarksville, treasurer.

Mrs. Mills was nominated to fill the next alumni board vacancy occurring on the college board of trustees.

Greer Lingle, superintendent of schools at Rogers, received the association's annual achievement award, given to the alumnus who has achieved the greatest success in his chosen field.

Dr. Conrow Miller of Cane Hill (Washington County) was presented the merit award, given annually for outstanding service to the college.
