Clarksville, Ark. --- The winning essays in the university's sixth annual Earth Day essay contest were announced on Tuesday, April 26, by Dr. Brian Hardman.
With rising gas prices, and the nuclear accident in Japan, the national conversation has again turned to the question of how we are to best meet society's demands for energy. Participants in the essay contest were invited to join this converstaion by answering this question:
What should we do to meet our current and future demands for energy?
Judges Patrick Morgan, Amy Oatis, and Debbie Eldridge reviewed 19 submissions in the process of selecting the following winning essays:
