Clarksville, Ark. --- University of the Ozarks will hold its 5th annual "Science Day" on November 17.
Students from area high schools are invited to attend this annual event, where they compete for a chance to win an Ozarks scholarship, free books, and other prizes from the campus bookstore. Students will also attend lab demonstrations in areas ranging from Biology and Chemistry to Sociology and Psychology.
“We are excited about having 181 students representing 12 schools on campus and sharing with them the exciting opportunities Ozarks Sciences offer. It has grown from about 50 students its first year,” said Associate Professor of Biology Dr. Sean Coleman. “I hope the students visiting enjoy themselves, learn something, and spread the word about our amazing campus.”
Ozarks Biological Society President Hannah Oakes is equally enthusiastic: “This year we have registered more students than we have ever had before. The Science Department and the student volunteers are looking forward to a busy but extremely fun day!”
