Steps to the Stage
Ages:
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
Dates:
Saturday, October 20th
Time:
9:00 am to noon
Enrollment Fee: $35 (Take 10% off for U of O kids!)
Students in this beginning acting session will fall in love with the theater through drama games and improvisations and exciting activities designed to build confidence and teamwork while teaching the fundamentals of acting in a fun, non-threatening way!
Act I
Ages:
3rd - 5th Grade
Dates:
Tuesdays, September 4th - October 9th
Time:
4:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Enrollment Fee: $75 (Take 10% off for U of O kids!)
For the Fall 2007 session, this workshop will focus on musical theater performance. Every class member will work on one solo piece and one group piece from a major musical, concentrating on areas like good singing technique, staging, choreography, performance style, and much more. Each member of the class will present their work in our final performance for friends and family!
Act II
Ages:
6th - 12th Grade
Dates:
Tuesdays,
October 16th - December 11th
Time:
4:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Enrollment Fee: $100 (Take 10% off for U of O kids!)
In this workshop, acting students will delve further into the methods and techniques used by professional actors, concentrating on areas like play reading, script and character analysis, theater history, and much more! Each member of the class will work on a scene or monologue as well as a musical theater selection to be performed at our final performance for friends and family!
