Davey has seen something he can't forget. Anita has been forced to flee her home. These two have never met. Tonight their paths cross, with devastating consequences. Thrilling, heartbreaking and darkly humorous by turns, VINCENT RIVER is an upfront look at self-deception's power to destroy.

University of the Ozarks Alumnae & director of Stages for Youth Theatre, Ginny Sain, will portray the role of Anita. Weston Kemp, local Clarksville High School student, and a member of the Professional Training Company associated with Stages for Youth Theatre, will portray the role of Davey. This production will be directed by Ozarks Professor of Theatre, Bruce B. Brown.

This play contains adult language, descriptive violence, and adult content. No Children under 15 admitted without adult.

 

SPOON RIVER ANTHOLOGY

Small town life is under the microscope in Edgar Lee Master's famous collection of blank verse vignettes as the dead in Spoon River Cemetery speak their mind.   Irony, humor, and poignancy combine for an evening of family entertainment.

The South's storytelling tradition is brought to life as four characters recollect their experiences with a calf, frozen frog legs, elderberry jelly, and a cemetery backhoe. In the spirit of Eudora Welty and Flannery O'Connor they share their unique experiences and life philosophies.
