- Come build your own weekend adventure August 24 – 26. This is a post-orientation outdoor event to which all students are welcome and new students are especially encouraged.
The options begin with a trip to Strawberry Bluff Friday evening to watch the sunset and explore. Your options continue with an exciting seven-mile hike along the Ozark Highlands Trail Saturday, followed by an overnight trip to Sam’s Throne Saturday evening for camping, good food, good company, and good times. The final option Sunday is basic rock climbing on Sam’s Throne where you will learn the basics of rappelling, rock climbing, and bouldering. Through any and all of these options you will be introduced to basic camping skills you can use on your own trips. You can go on one any or all of these options that are offered for this weekend.
