Lending a helping hand – Students Dristika Shrestha, Zyanya Sanchez, Debora Sosa, and Leyla Tuckler pause for a photo op amid their labors. Members of Ozarks’ branch of Phi Beta Lambda, the national association of students interested in business, organized the “Gifts of the Heart” drive in January to collect hand towels, washcloths, combs, nail clippers, bars of soap, toothbrushes, and band-aids to divide into packets to send to the victims of the earthquake which struck Haiti on January 12. The packages will be distributed in Haiti with the help of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the emergency and refugee program of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.
