The university's Annual Tree Planting Day was another success story for the campus and the planet! With the help of Eddie Wood and the Grounds Crew, and the generosity of Stan Brown from Blossomberry Nursery (who provided all of the trees and donated many of them), and the nearly 30 hardworking students, staff (Stuart), and faculty (Kim and Phyllis) who assisted in the task, we planted 11 trees, 4 of which are species new to the campus, and one, Franklinia, is an exceedingly rare species that is extinct in the wild. If you see one of these new members to the Ozarks community, feel free to say "hi," give them a pat on the limb, or even a gentle hug in welcome.
