Linn is featured artist at U of O

Clarksville, Ark. --- Amanda Linn of Little Rock will be showcasing her recent mixed media works as the featured artist for February in the Stephens Gallery on the University of the Ozarks campus.
Entitled "Good Luck Charm," Linn's show features paintings, stitchery and sculptures. Her work has been displayed at the Arkansas Repertory Theater, the Arkansas River Valley Arts Center, Baum Gallery at University of Central Arkansas and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
A teacher at Harmony Grove Public Schools, Linn was named the 1998 Arkansas Secondary Art Educator of the Year. She earned her bachelor's degree from UCA in 1992.
Linn's exhibit will be on display through the month of February. The gallery, located in the Walton Fine Arts Center, is open to the public Monday through Friday.
U of O will host a "Reception to Meet the Artist" featuring Linn at 1 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 21, in the Stephens Gallery. The public is invited to attend the reception. The reception will precede the Walton Arts & Ideas Series event featuring the Fort Smith Symphony with piano soloist Wendy Chen, which will begin at 2 p.m. in the Walton Fine Arts Center.
