On Nov. 14, 52 student volunteers and numerous faculty members at University of the Ozarks hosted more than 120 high school students from throughout the region who competed for coveted awards during the university's seventh annual Science Day.

In addition to competing to win prizes in chemistry, biology, and physics, the students were given tours of campus and attended demonstrations by science faculty members. Also up for grabs was the T.L. Smith Biology Scholarship, which is awarded to the top senior who plans to major in biology at Ozarks.
