University of the Ozarks Theatre to present "Dracula"

Clarksville, Ark. --- The University of the Ozarks' Theatre Department will present its first production of the 2008-2009 academic year, "Dracula," at 7:30 p.m., October 10 and 11, in the Walton Fine Arts Center.

Written by Crane Johnson from Bram Stoker’s classic novel, "Dracula" is filled with the traditional ingredients of a Gothic terror --- a manor house on the heath, children dying of mysterious causes, howling wolves and flying bats. "Dracula" is sure to send an autumnal chill down the spine of audience members as the forces of good and evil clash in this thrilling tale of mystery and intrigue.

The play’s director is Walton Professor of Theatre Pat Farmer, and the set designer and technical director is Professor of Theatre Bruce B. Brown. Jenava Moreau is the lightning designer, Erin Fuller is costume designer, Danielle Stover is graphic designer, Josh Tarvin is sound designer and Phillip Perez is stage manager.

The cast includes Andrew C. Heim as Dr. Seward, Erin Grace Fuller as Mrs. Harker, Lindsey Humphries as Dr. Van Helsing, Jacqueline Jurcik as Abigail, Kalea Bennett as Lucy, Nathan Freeman as Renfield and Justin Hughes as Count Dracula.

The crew includes Martin Morales as projection operator; Tarvin as sound board operator; Moreau as light board operator; Jordyn Campbell as wardrobe crew chief; Houston Hall, Lissa Malcom and Leah Short as wardrobe crew; Catalina Ruiz as stage crew chief; Brandon Hearld and Colin Johnson as stage crew; Grace Harnish as props run crew chief; Stover as electrics and house crew; Brigitte Bridoux as special effects operator; Rebecca Arnold as box office manager and Short as hair and makeup director.
