The President's Post

       The University of the Ozarks is a campus of amazing people and dynamic diversity. What we learn from one another on this campus is the power of our diversity and the glory of our differences. What we learn from one another is the grace of our individual uniqueness and the blessing of our mutual understanding.

   My wish for this Thanksgiving is that we respect who we are and who others are. My wish is that we praise one another for our differences, and that we learn from one another through our differences. My wish is that we become brothers and sisters in shared word and positive action. My wish is that we remain more righteous than self-righteous, more conciliatory then contentious.

   We need one another at Ozarks. I hope we trust one another, depend upon one another, and believe in one another. I hope we are a campus of diversity with a goal of understanding, and I hope our compassionate understanding is a shared truth among us.

   I know of no better place for these hopes and wishes to grow and prosper than within each one of us and throughout our campus. That is my Thanksgiving prayer.
