 Since
the age of five, I have looked forward to the beginning of a new school
year. And during my lifetime, I have seen a number of academic years
begin. I am as excited about this year as any I have ever experienced.
When our soccer players, international students, and
Student Foundation Board members return to campus, it signals for me
the unofficial official beginning. When everyone else returns, I know
it is official, and Sherée and I sense that everything is right
with the world once again.
One special group that deserves our praise and congratulations
are members of the Student Foundation Board. Under the expert leadership
of our Student Life staff, these young women and men return to campus
early to prepare for the orientation of our new students. They truly
pitch in and exemplify our Ozarks’ tradition of service to others
and down-home hospitality. Each year I am in awe of their dedication,
and this year I was even more awed. On behalf of the entire campus and
our new students, THANK YOU, Student Foundation Board
members, you are amazing.
And to all members of this exceptional campus community,
welcome back!
