The President's
Post
In
a few days we will be celebrating one of my favorite annual events -
Alumni Weekend. This year's schedule for April 14-16 involves a number
of special activities, meetings, and receptions. Lori McBee, Director
of Alumni Relations, always does an exceptional job of planning and
organizing for our alumni, and I hope that those of us currently on
campus will attend some of the events in order to share conversation
and memories with our visitors.
In addition to the tradional reception and luncheon
for our 50-Year Club alumni, we will be celebrating the return of our
Pharmacy School graduates. If you have not met these two alumni groups,
you are missing something quite extraordinary. Be prepared for stimulating
stories, remembrances, reflections, and - ah yes - a few tall tales
and yarns about life at Ozarks several decades ago. You current students
should not fool yourselves into thinking that you are the inventors
of campus mischief and intrigue. Many of our alumni are years ahead
of you!
It is our privilege to watch, listen, and learn from
Ozarks' alumni. They have much to share, and we have even more to gain.
What will our stories be 50 years from now?
