I do not believe that I have ever tried to describe a miracle. And, to be honest, I don't think that I can. But this campus recently experienced one. The $39,500,000 gift from the Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation is our miracle. This is the largest gift in the history of the University. In fact, it is the largest gift to an independent college or university in Arkansas history. That is remarkable and a credit to us all. [More...] A $39.5 Million Blessing Gift Launches Ozarks Capital Campaign The Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation announced Tuesday, Oct. 27, that a gift of $39.5 million will be given to the University of the Ozarks. The gift is the single largest ever given to a private university in Arkansas. It also ranks as one of the 50 largest gifts made to private higher education since 1967, according to information compiled by the Chronicle of Higher Education. [More...]
