Federal Financial Aid
   Those who applied for federal financial aid during 1998-99 should receive a renewal application for financial aid at your home address.
   This application will provide the necessary information to determine eligibility for Pell Grant, AR State Grant, Work-Study, Federal Stafford Loans, and Institutional Grants. You may either submit your paper renewal application to the processing center via mail or by using the world wide web. The URL is www.fafsa.ed.gov if you choose the web route. The paper/mail process will take approximately 4-6 weeks process time, the web will take approximately 2-3 weeks process time. You will need to print, sign and mail a signature page to the processing center if you submit the application on the web.
   If you did not receive the renewal application, come by the financial aid office to pick up a regular application.

Samuel Robinson Award
   Competition for the $1000 Samuel Robinson Scholarship Award is open to full-time juniors and seniors at Presbyterian-related universities. The competition includes two parts: 1) memorizing and reciting the answers to the Westminster Shorter Catechism, and 2) writing a 2,000 word essay on an assigned topic which is designed to increase the writer's knowledge and understanding of the Westminster Shorter Catechism and A Brief Statement of Faith.
   Students must complete both parts of the competition or they will be disqualified. Deadline is April 1, 1999.

$500 Scholarship
   The Arkansas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (AASFAA) will be awarding two $500 scholarships to AR students attending a member institution. Application deadline is March 30. Applications are available in the financial aid office.

Accounting Scholarship
    American Institute of Certified Public Accountants are offering liberal arts students wishing to pursue graduate accounting study scholarships to pursue a CPA certificate. Scholarships are given based on academic achievement, leadership and future career interests. Up to five recipients will be awarded $5000 and will be eligible for renewal for one more year. The deadline for submission is April 1. Applications may be obtained at AICPA On-line www.aicpa.org
