After 16 years of outstanding leadership and dedicated service to University of the Ozarks, President Dr. Rick D. Niece has announced that he will be retiring at the end of the 2012-2013 academic school year, on June 30, 2013. In March 2012, the University began the important task of selecting his successor.
In October, the Board of Trustees and the Presidential Search Committee announced that Richard L. "Rich" Dunsworth, J.D. has been elected as the University's 25th President, effective July 1, 2013.
Dr. Dunsworth has served as vice president for enrollment at Millikin University in Illinois, since 2004. In his role as vice president for enrollment, he oversees numerous departments, including admission, athletics, financial aid, institutional research, marketing, media relations, registrar and student development. Dunsworth and his wife, Holly, have three young children.
