NaLisa Brown and some of the students in her class "Case Studies in Green Marketing" toured the U.S. Forest Service Pleasant Hill Ranger Station on Highway 21 north of Clarksville. Originally constructed in 1988, the building was renovated with an emphasis on increasing sustainable operations and reducing energy consumption. It has received a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification granted by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), which recognizes buildings which are designed to conserve resources and the environment.
