Refund Policy

University of the Ozarks has established the following refund policies:

Tuition Refund Policy

The following tuition refund policy applies to students enrolled fall or spring semester and who officially withdraw from the university:

  • Students who withdraw during the first seven calendar days will receive a refund of 80% of tuition;
  • Students who withdraw during the 8th to 14th calendar days will receive a refund of 60% of tuition;
  • Students who withdraw during the 15th to 21st calendar days will receive a refund of 40% of tuition;
  • Students who withdraw during the 22nd to 28th calendar days will receive a refund of 20% of tuition;
  • Students who withdraw on the 29th calendar day and after will not receive a tuition refund.

The following tuition refund policy applies to students enrolled during a summer term:

  • Students who withdraw after a single class will receive a refund of 50% of tuition;
  • Students who withdraw after more than one class will not receive a tuition refund.

The following refund policy applies to the $100 Tuition deposit:

  • To hold their place in the incoming class, new students must make a deposit of $100 by May 1 or within thirty days after admission, whichever is earlier. This deposit is refundable until May 1 (upon written request).

Room, Board, and Fee Refund Policy

No refunds will be given for room charges, fees (including fees for the Jones Learning Center), or miscellaneous expenses. Board charges will be prorated according to the date of official withdrawal.

 


NOTE: If funds are released to a student because of a credit balance on the student’s account prior to the student withdrawing, then the student may be required to repay some of the federal grants.
