Web Log Files

The University of the Ozarks web server collects and stores certain information about the computers which visit our site to help evaluate how our site is being used, and to help us improve our service to you. The web server does not collect any personal information about site visitors; instead it collects information in the W3C Extended Log File format that tells us things such as which page was requested, the date and time the request was made, the IP address of the computer which made the request, which type of browser was used to make the request, and what page referred the visitor to a given page on our site. We make no attempt to identify individuals based on the information we collect from our web logs except when the information indicates potential misuse or abuse of our web server. We do not release information obtained from our web server logs to third parties unless required to do so by law.
